Renee Sams

Renee Sams is one of the entertainment industry’s leading women.

Behind the camera, Renee heads up an Emmy-award winning television production company, a record company that recently delivered a platinum seller, an Internet company that garnered over 100,000 new customers within six months of its launch, and a direct response company that is responsible for over $100,000,000 in global sales.

In front of the camera, Renee appears in Los Angeles on the top-rated prime time NEWS AT 10 on KTLA, channel 5. Renee’s usual focus on the news is that of investigative/special assignment reporter; in addition, she is a regular fill-in anchor in prime time.

Now, with the introduction of DVDWeekend, Renee serves as the program’s co-anchor, executive producer, and writer.

Renee has created, produced and hosted various television programs for all of the major networks and numerous syndicators. She began her career at ABC’s LA station, KABC-TV, spending two years traveling the globe for the Emmy-winning prime access series, EYE ON LA.

In her spare time, Renee is very active with charities, namely, Jerry Lewis’ MDA Telethon Extravaganza, Miss America Scholarship Program and Good Shepherd for Domestic Abuse. She is also an accomplished singer/songwriter.

Renee has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from California State University at Fullerton and a Professional Designation in Journalism from UCLA.

DVD Weekend is produced by DVD TV News, Inc. in association with KTLA, the WB affiliate in Los Angeles. It is also telecast on SuperStation WGN, reaching over 60 million U.S. homes, as well as other Tribune Broadcasting stations. It is anticipated that the program will move into full national syndication in late 2004.
